Practice · Business Development & Revenue Operations
A pipeline that runs on process, not on one person.
MSG helps businesses identify growth opportunities, reach target customers, develop strategic relationships, and build a disciplined pipeline across commercial and government markets.

What we build
Revenue problems are rarely effort problems. Opportunities accumulate, but qualification, follow-up, forecasting, and deal progression lack consistency — and too often the key relationships and closing activity depend on one person.
This offering — Business Development & Market Growth — is the same service whether your targets are commercial accounts or government buyers: who you pursue and why, how outreach is designed and executed, how opportunities are qualified and advanced, what the CRM must capture, and the reporting cadence leadership uses to see the pipeline clearly. Where government markets are part of your strategy, we coordinate procurement readiness alongside market development — distinct from post-award contract delivery.
Not every capability is included in every engagement. Scope is defined together — from a focused pipeline-and-qualification review to contracted execution of specific business development activities.
Four distinct delivery options
- Advisory. MSG develops recommendations and coaches your team; your team manages the sales function.
- Foundation & Launch. MSG builds the targeting, messaging, processes, and tools your team then runs.
- Managed Business Development. MSG performs agreed recurring business development activities — account research, outreach, qualification, and CRM work — within defined capacity, reporting, and service commitments.
- Fractional Sales Leadership. MSG leads agreed sales management activities and team accountability — strategy, cadence, coaching, forecasting, and pipeline reviews — within the scope defined in the engagement.
No engagement includes all four by default. Outreach ownership, deliverables, capacity, reporting, and client responsibilities are defined in the proposal. For organizations pursuing government work, see our government contract readiness and federal capabilities pages for the post-award delivery side.
Problems We Solve
Where execution usually breaks
- Opportunities accumulate, but qualification, follow-up, forecasting, and deal progression lack consistency.
- Key relationships and closing activity depend on one person, limiting the team's ability to grow.
- The pipeline is a list, not a managed process — stages, criteria, and next steps are undefined.
- The CRM is a contacts database, not a management tool leadership can trust.
- Outreach happens in bursts when revenue dips, then stops when delivery gets busy.
- Leadership can't see pipeline health early enough to act on it.
